Harvey runs a village pub with his wife and the pair are always coming up with new ideas for events to attract new customers. For Father’s Day, they wanted to host a perfect ‘Dad’s Day Out’ event, with a wide selection of beers and ales, a delicious lunch from Hog Roast Frimley, and a jukebox to control the music. For the menu, the Hog Roast Frimley had been hired to provide a classic hog roast for the occasion, which would be served in the beer garden. We expected our menu to be a great addition to this event as no dad can resist the smell of a tasty hog roast!
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Frimley team arrived at the pub in the morning, allowing us plenty of time to slow-roast the hog to perfection. Once the meat was ready, it was expertly carved by our chef and served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Additionally, we also provided succulent pork sausages and veggie sausages. For the side dishes, the guests could enjoy homemade chips, and a selection of salad options, including a green leaf salad, and crunchy coleslaw. Our catering went down a treat with the dads and their families, with everyone attracted to the sight and smell of our delicious hog roast station. We served over 150 guests with a delicious Father’s Day lunch, including some dads for seconds!
