Hog Roast Horsham has had the pleasure of providing lovely food for many customers over the years, whether for private parties, corporate functions or wedding receptions. Our professional, friendly, experienced catering team can cater everything from a handful of people to several hundred guests, at pretty much any location and at either end of formality and budget. We use fresh, quality ingredients such as locally-sourced pigs from trusted suppliers to cook up some amazing fare.
Hog Roast Horsham was recently asked to cater twice in one day for Cranleigh and South Eastern Agricultural Society, which is local to us, at the Cranleigh Show. The show is a fun day out for all the family in the heart of the gorgeous Surrey countryside, where you can meet farm animals, buy country crafts and local artisan food and drink, watch ferret racing, see the working gun dogs, try out country sports and so much more.
On the day of the event, we would be serving around 300 guests at the show as well as a separate service in the members’ tent, in a cordoned off area for the President and his 24 guests. We often cater with two food services, for instance at weddings, where we serve a breakfast or lunch and then a later meal, and we’re more than happy to do so. For the Cranleigh Show, we would have one service at 11.45am and then one at 2.45pm, just after catching our breath!
On the day of the Cranleigh Show, our Hog Roast Horsham team arrived in the morning to set up our equipment and to prepare the hog. We had been asked to cook our Menu 4, which is outdoor dining on real crockery. For this event, we would be slow-roasting a pig from scratch to provide plenty of meat and crackling for the guests, and providing various fresh salad dishes and lots of sauces, with veggie skewers for the vegetarian guests. Then this yummy meal would be finished off with the choice of either a delicious chocolate torte or a strawberry vacherin.
Our team had a great time at the Cranleigh Show this year and we hope to see everyone again next year.
