Hog Roast Hambledon Received Rave Reviews From Festival-Goers

Recently, a stellar team of local event organisers and volunteers pulled off a multi-day festival that had everyone talking. For three epic days, guests partied to an electric line-up of budding artists and bands. They savoured crisp craft beer, real ales, lagers, ciders, wines, prosecco, gin, and rum. And with non-stop music and fun, there wasn’t a single dull moment for any music lover!
And the food? Oh, the food! Dozens of caterers brought their A-game, offering a smorgasbord of tasty treats to over 1,000 attendees. Naturally, Hog Roast Hambledon was in the mix! We were honoured to cater for this event, and we were determined to blow everyone away with our signature slow roast.
Each day, the Hog Roast Hambledon team arrived bright and early to prepare a large, free-range hog. After scoring the pig, pouring water over it, and massaging it with salt, we cooked it rotisserie-style over a low flame, letting our machine work its magic.
As the meat sizzled and spat, juices dripped into the sage and onion stuffing, infusing it with rich, savoury flavours. Meanwhile, our crew turned their attention to our homemade applesauce; made from fresh boiled apples, sugar, and a blend of secret seasonings, it was the perfect accompaniment to the savoury spit roast.
When it came time to carve the hog, a large crowd gathered around our stall. They were as excited to watch our talented chefs slice up the pig as they were to see the on-stage performers. The sound of the blade slicing into the crackling was pure ASMR bliss!
Once the scratchings were removed, it was time to pull the pork. The meat fell away from the bone effortlessly, and our team carved it up with expert precision, piling it onto gluten-free buns with crackling, stuffing, and applesauce.
The flavours in each bite were nothing short of heavenly, and guests couldn’t get enough. Even non-meat-eaters were impressed by our flavour-packed jackfruit alternative, which ensured everyone could enjoy something delicious.
For all three days, Hog Roast Hambledon outdid ourselves with flawless food, timely service, and a personable attitude that made the event more fun for everyone!
